Bangkok, Thailand – On September 10th, Professor Susumu Kitagawa, a Distinguished Professor from Kyoto University and a leading contender for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, delivered a special lecture at the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI). The lecture focused on his pioneering work with Porous Coordination Polymers (PCP), also known as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOF).
Before an engaged audience of approximately 70 students, faculty, and researchers, Professor Kitagawa provided a comprehensive overview of his field. He covered the history of porous material development, explained the growing industrial interest in PCP/MOFs, and shared his vision for the technology’s future prospects.
The lecture also featured presentations from the CEO of Atomis Inc. and a representative from Yachiyo Engineering. They discussed the development and future outlook of “CubiTan®,” a commercial application of the technology, and emphasized the importance of businesses that create a positive social impact.
