ENTEC, Yachiyo Engineering, and Atomis Sign MOU: A Historic First Official Step for CubiTan in Thailand

Establishing the Framework for Nobel-Winning MOF Technology to Drive Thailand’s Energy Transition

On April 23, 2026, the first official public document for the implementation of CubiTan technology in Thailand was signed at the Thailand Science Park. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC), Atomis Inc., and Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. marks a symbolic “first step” in bringing Nobel-winning Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOF) to the Thai energy market.

The ceremony featured opening remarks from:

  • H.E. Mr. Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand.
  • Mr. Kenjiro Yamanaka of Yachiyo Engineering.
  • Dr. Sumittra Charojrochkul, Executive Director of ENTEC.

Ambassador Otaka emphasized the commitment to bilateral cooperation in solving energy challenges. Mr. Yamanaka highlighted CubiTan’s role as a “virtual pipeline” for clean methane gas. Dr. Sumittra expressed high expectations for MOF utilization in Thailand’s energy research.

This partnership serves as the official starting point for a smart gas network that aligns with Thailand’s decarbonization goals, connecting Japanese scientific excellence with local energy needs.
